Do you want to share your own natural child birth, home birth, water birth, or unassisted birth story? When women share stories about their natural births it empowers and inspires other women to have a natural child birth as well. It is also empowering for those who share to have their birth stories heard, validated, and CELEBRATED. Many, if not most, of the birth stories we hear from friends and family, and/or see on TV, are terrifying and traumatic. They are typical hospital births with many interventions often ending in c-sections. Birth does not have to be this way! It is so helpful for other women to hear our positive stories so they know that they can do it too and that their bodies are perfectly designed to give birth without outside intervention. Even if a planned natural birth ended up with unplanned interventions, it is healing to talk about and hear these stories. The more we talk about our natural hospital births,birth center births, and vbacs (vaginal birth after caesarean section), the more other women will find the courage to do it too. The more we talk about our homebirths, water births, and unassisted home births, and how homebirth is just as safe as hospital birth, the more women's and babies' lives will be changed.
